Our first web cam went live in 1999, and today we have more than 3,000 worldwide and growing.

Webcamtaxi.com achieved a new record of daily visits on 24 February 2022. We had over 2.59 million cameras viewed in 24 hours, with many of these live cameras located in Ukraine.
The site features on page one of Google in more than 100 countries for many popular search terms such as, live streaming webcams worldwide, live streaming cams around the world, and many other country-related search terms.

We also appear on page one of most of the world's leading search engines for a country, city or interest. We add new cameras weekly and are one of the fastest growing platforms/site in its field Worldwide measured by daily unique visits and rated one of the top 3 sites in the world for live webcams.

Our team consists of programmers, graphic/software designers, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), content writers and translators. Our first cam went live in 1999, and it uploaded a still image every 30 seconds, and back then this was state-of-the-art. Today we have live high definition streaming with sound from all over the world and even outer space. Very soon we will be installing our first virtual reality camera with sound, where you can be at home and experience sitting in some exotic location as if you were there.

This image is of our first “live” camera, installed in the year 1999, which uploaded a new image every 30 seconds. We used an old Sony Video Camera with home-made software. It was located in our founder's bedroom window.
