Hungary (Magyarország) is a country with no sea access and one of the largest in Central Europe in terms of territory. Most of the 10-million population is Roman Catholic.

It enjoys a continental climate, characterised by hot summers with frequent showers (average high temperature between 23 and 28°C) and mildly cold winters (average low temperature between -3 and -7°C), which are great for skiing. For more weather details, see the live cameras.

Major urban areas include Budapest the capital, as well as Kecskemét, Győr, Pécs, Békéscsaba, Miskolc, Eger, Szeged, Debrecen and Veszprém. Some of the must-see attractions in Hungary are Buda Castle, the Széchenyi thermal bath, the 19th-century Chain Bridge, Fisherman's Bastion, Castle of Eger (Heves County) and Matthias Church.

Roman and Turkish influences on the Hungarian culture include the popular mineral spas. In fact, one-third of over 1,300 hot springs in the whole country is used in thermal baths (Héviz, Széchenyi, Guellért).
