Łódź Voivodeship or Łódź Province (województwo łódzkie) is in central Poland, bordered by the Polish provinces of Świętokrzyskie (south-east), Silesian (south,) Opole (south-west), Greater Poland (west), Kuyavian-Pomeranian (north), and Masovian (north and east). The province’s capital is the city of Łódź with the high-street of Piotrkowska Street a major attraction, running for over five kilometres (3.1 miles) along the city centre. Łódź Province has a few large Areas of Outstanding Beauty (AONBs) including around the rivers Rawka, Widawka and Warta.
