This live streaming shows you two different overviews from Lisbon or in Portuguese Lisboa, the capital of Portugal.
Watch in real time a beautiful panorama of the Tagus River (Rio Tejo) from Alfama, one of the oldest areas in Lisbon. This webcam faces south towards the wide river estuary, before it empties into the Atlantic Ocean, to the east.
You also have another view displaying Lisbon cityscapes towards São Jorge Castle (Castelo de São Jorge), in Lisbon city centre. The castle was built in the 11th century, although the first fortifications on the hill date back to the 1st century BC! This significant national monument has eleven towers, an archaeological site, a museum and gardens featuring native forest species of mainland Portugal. The castle is an important tourist attraction – set on the highest hill in the city - offering not only history but also excellent views over Lisbon and the River Tagus!
