This online camera takes you in a virtual tour within the walls of Peter and Paul Fortress (Петропа́вловская кре́пость), in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Founded in 1703 by Peter the Great, this was the original citadel, in the middle of which rises Russian Orthodox Peter and Paul Cathedral, where several Russian Emperors are buried. At the top of its spire you can see a golden angel with a cross. Saint Petersburg Mint (Санкт-Петербу́ргский моне́тный двор), one of the city’s oldest industrial facilities and one of the two locations in the country where coins are minted, is also shown on this webcam.
