Steel Highway Railcams presents this live webcam stream of Grand Mound Depot on Smith Street looking eastbound Union Pacific double main railway in the city of Grand Mound, Iowa, United States.
If you enjoy train watching, don't miss the long freight trains that pass through this stretch of railway and listen to the radio feed.
The first train station in this Clinton County town area was built in 1858, when the Chicago, Iowa, and Nebraska Railroad was built. A few years later, in 1866, the town was named.
Grand Mound, as shown on the map further down this page, is a small city of about 600 people in eastern Iowa near nature preserves and the Illinois border.
If you happen to be in town in July, you should check out the annual Steam Threshers Show and Car Show. Furthermore, Grand Mound hosts the state's largest fireworks display every Fourth of July.
