This live rail webcam above is provided by the Osage Pawn and Gun on Main Street and overlooks the Sedalia Train Station and Union Pacific Sub in downtown Sedalia, Missouri, United States, as shown on the map further down the page.
Sedalia Station is an Amtrak train station built by the Missouri Pacific Railroad, one of the first railroads in the western United States. Renovations to this station were completed in 2011 following the closure of the depot, which was built in 1886 and closed in the 1970s due to deferred maintenance.
The train facilities in Sedalia are part of the Katy Trail State Park, which honours the railroad heritage of the western United States.
Katy Trail State Park stretches for 240 miles (390 kilometres) along the former Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railway route. Hikers, joggers, and cyclists will see many historic depots along this trail, as well as beautiful and diverse landscapes.
Sedalia has been the proud host of the Missouri State Fair since 1901. It lasts 11 days and includes daily entertainment and events such as concerts, shows, and exhibitions.
