This 2,812-foot-long (857 m) bridge was built in 1986 to replace an older one beneath the current bridge, which now serves as a fishing pier.
Ponquogue Bridge connects Hamptons Bays to Westhampton Island, the town of Southampton's easternmost barrier island, as shown on our map further down the page. In the foreground, you can see a large parking space, and across the screen, you can see Beach Road, which runs parallel to Ponquogue Beach.
