The FONDEF MarejadasUV cam feed overlooks the sand beaches of Playa Acapulco and Playa El Sol, as well as the historic Vergara Pier (Muelle Vergara), which was built in the 19th century and renovated in 2016. The pier divides the sandy stretch of Playa Acapulco in the foreground from Playa del Sol. The city's beautiful sandy beaches extend north along the Pacific Coast.
Playa Acapulco is one of the city's most popular beaches, and is located right next to downtown Viña del Mar, as shown on our map further down the page. From the beach, you can see high-rise buildings, many of which are holiday apartments and hotels. Diverse restaurants, as well as beautiful gardens and plazas, are located near the beach, as is the beachfront Casino de Vina del Mar.
