Limassol District, also called Lemesos, is a district of Cyprus situated in the southeast-central part of the island country.
The capital city, Limassol, is the most significant tourist resort in Cyprus, offering splendid south-facing beaches on the Mediterranean Sea as well as important historical and cultural sites.
To the north of the district, stands the Mount Olympus - Cyprus' highest mountain - featuring hiking trails and a ski area.
