The town of Skopelos is the capital of the island of the same name as well as the principal port. It is a picturesque town with narrow streets, steep footpaths, and historic landmarks such as small churches and fountains. It was once designated a Traditional Settlement of Outstanding Beauty by Presidential decree due to its beauty and traditional architecture.
