Roatán is one of the seven islands of the archipelago of the Bay Islands off the northern coast of Honduras, in the Caribbean Sea.
This island is near the largest barrier reef in the Caribbean Sea, which made it an important scuba diving destination. Roatán has some of the best beaches in the Caribbean, such as West End Beach along sheltered waters to swim and snorkel. Roatán also offers lush jungles, mountains terrains, mangrove forests and gardens to explore, among other attractions. There are many resorts around the island, offering a variety of accommodation and well as guided tours both for water activities and inland!
