Miðbakki Harbour area in downtown Reykjavik is the location of the Harpa Concert Hall, on the right-hand side, the Reykjavík Art Museum and the Kolaportið, a large indoor market. Around this harbour, there is the pleasant Sculpture and Shore Walk, as well as whale watching tour agencies, and a variety of seafood restaurants.
Here you have a great view of the sheltered harbour, the boats, and the waterfront including a painted area where a food market takes place, also serving as a recreational space.
