The imposing Greek–style building you see is Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1755; on your right-hand side is Palazzo del Tergesteo, a majestic neoclassic building, founded in 1842; at the centre of the square stands a statue of Leopoldo I D'Asburgo, the Holy Roman Emperor who was in the city in 1660, as well as the Neptune fountain (Fontana Di Nettuno) with the trident.
