The live webcam above take you to Cēsis town centre, in Latvia. Here you are at the spacious Unity Square (Vienības laukums) featuring the central Monument of Victory. The obelisk was erected in memory of Latvian and Estonian soldiers who fought the Battles for the freedom of Latvia, and you will find there an inscription "From the sword the sun rose." In fact, the golden ball at the top of the monument represents the “sun of freedom” of Latvia. The Unity Square is the newest in Cēsis and a significant part of the city, surrounded with cafes, a hotel and other buildings as well as the wonderful May Park (Maija parks).
