This magnificent overview is of Guadalajara, a large city in western Mexico, and the capital of the state of Jalisco. In the centre of the roundabout is a huge fountain and an 8-metre sculpture of Glorieta de La Minerva - the Roman goddess Minerva - the goddess of art, defense and wisdom, standing here, as if safeguarding the city.
