Bar Municipality is situated in the south part of Montenegro, stretching from the shores of the Adriatic Sea, in the southeast, to the beautiful Lake Skadar, in the northwest. In this region you will find one of the oldest olive trees in the world (Stara Maslina), considered to be over 2,000 years old. Among the Bar Municipality’s natural landscapes there are the Rikavac and Medjurečje canyons, ideal for canyoning. The administrative centre is Bar, a coastal town featuring attractive historical landmarks, beaches, and a pleasant marina.
