The county of Hordaland is located in southwestern Norway, bathed by North Sea, and by the great Hardangerfjorden fjord, which divides this county into many islands and peninsulas along the coastline. Hordaland borders on the counties of Buskerud, Rogaland, Sogn og Fjordane, and Telemark. The capital is the dreamy city of Bergen surrounded by mountains and fjords. The core of the city is the Vågen harbour and, on the shore, is the historic quay of Bryggen whose outstanding landmarks are the colourful wooden houses.  The county has incredible landscapes such as the Nærøyfjord fjord, glaciers, waterfalls and mountains thus outdoor activities include boat tours, hiking, climbing and fishing.
