This is a live webcam view of Lodalen Valley and the mighty mountains flanking the green-coloured Lovatnet Lake in Norway's county of Vestland, as seen from Hoven Restaurant, which is located by the Loen Skylift (gondolbane), a mountain cable car that takes you from the village of Leon below to Mount Hoven at an altitude of 1011 metres. You can also reach this breathtaking viewpoint via easy or moderate hiking trails that take no more than three hours to complete through the dramatic landscapes.
Ever since the first hotel opened in Loen village in 1884, tourism has grown in this tempting holiday destination, where visitors savour the tranquilly amid these spectacular landscapes of fjords and steep mountains in western Norway. As you may see below on the map, Loen is beautifully situated between the easternmost arm of the Nordfjorden and the narrow Lovatnet Lake.
In addition to hiking, visitors can explore other outdoor activities such as kayaking on the fjord and more radical sports such as climbing the Via Ferrata Loen.
