With this live HD webcam stream, you can see the beautiful sacred building of the John Paul II Papal Altar and the green surroundings in Stary Sącz (Starym Sączu), Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland.

The Papal Altar, which can be found on the map further down, was constructed for the celebration of a holy mass by Pope John Paul II on June 16, 1999, for the purpose of the canonization of Saint Kinga, who lived and died in this town.

The wooden structure, whose main feature is the altar, shows a highlander pastoral architecture, according to the design of architect Zenon Andrzej Remi. Under the altar, there is an exhibition of memorabilia related to the pope’s visit.

The town is also home to the "Opoka" Pilgrim House, the Poor Clare Nuns monastery, and other notable historic structures.

While visiting Stary Sącz, visitors can enjoy the beauty of the Kotlina Sądecka valley, in which the town sits.
