The Subcarpathian Voivodeship also called Subcarpathia Province, Podkarpackie Voivodeship and Podkarpackie Province is situated in the southeast part of Poland. The name Subcarpathian is related to the location of the region close to the Carpathian Mountains, which includes areas of the historic regions of Lesser Poland and Red Ruthenia.
