This live stream offers expansive and privileged views of the southeastern coast of the Portuguese island of Madeira, as seen from the “Miradouro Cruz da Caldeira” in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos.
The moving camera with close-ups shows stunning mountain landscapes and the shoreline from Câmara de Lobos to Funchal, Madeira's capital city, as well as views of the many cultivated terraces, banana plantations, other tropical fruits and vineyards in the parish of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, which is an important contributor to Madeira Wine production.

Close-up views include Câmara de Lobos bay, the pebble beach Praia Formosa, the construction site of the new hospital in Santa Rita, as well as views of Funchal Bay, Ponta do Garajau (Cristo Rei), and back to Pico da Torre viewpoint in Câmara de Lobos.
The construction of the new Madeira Central Hospital (HCM) in Santa Rita, São Martinho parish, began in May 2021, with a total investment of more than 340 million euros, on a 172,000-square-metre site. The new infrastructure, which will replace two existing hospitals in the region (Hospital Nélio Mendonça and Hospital dos Marmeleiros), is expected to be completed in 2024.
This scenic area is near Cabo Girão, Europe's tallest cape at 580 meters, where a famous viewpoint on a suspended glass platform is located.
Among the landscapes is the "Via Rápida VR1", Madeira's first 44-kilometer-long highway, which provides fast connections between the towns of Ribeira Brava and Caniçal via several tunnels and bridges.
On a clear night this is a great spot to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks, the Atlantic Festival in June, and the Festas de São Pedro (Saint Peter Festival) at midnight in Câmara de Lobos Bay in the same month.
The live feed is provided by Madeira-web and Webcamtaxi in partnership with the Restaurante Miradouro Cruz da Caldeira on Estrada João Gonçalves Zarco.
