The live webcams will show you the most beautiful sights in Primorsky Krai, a region (krai) in the Far East Region of Russia. Primorsky Krai has a coastline on the Sea of Japan to the east and south and shares borders with China to the west, North Korea to the southwest and Khabarovsk Krai to the north.
The region includes numerous islands and islets off the south coast, where lies the capital, Vladivostok, at the end of the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula. Among the attractions in the capital city are the viewpoint of Eagle’s Nest Hill, the Tokarevskiy Lighthouse at the tip of a narrow and long spit, and the modern building of the Prerimorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. This city is the terminus of the long network of the Trans-Siberian Railway, which starts in Moscow.
The major island of the krai is Russky Island, in Peter the Great Gulf in the Sea of Japan. It is connected to the capital on the mainland via the Russky Bridge, the world's second-longest cable-stayed bridge, and the longest main span with a length of 1,104 metres (3,622 feet). The scenic island is a significant business and education hub and is well known for its excellent beaches, coves, and old military forts.
Primorsky Krai is an excellent destination for nature lovers, with stunning mountain and shoreline landscapes, limestone caves, ancient volcanoes, lakes, and mountain rivers. With abundant flora and fauna, the region is the only home to the Amur leopard, a critically endangered species, at the Land of the Leopard National Park.
