Through this live webcam stream you can watch all the action in Nevsky Prospekt (Не́вский проспе́кт), the most important avenue of St. Petersburg, Russia, which crosses the city centre, connecting two major landmarks, Alexander Nevsky Monastery and the Admiralty. Kazan Square (Казанская площадь) and the two major landmarks Kazan Cathedral or Kazanskiy Kafedralniy Sobor (Каза́нский кафедра́льный собо́р), an Orthodox Church often called Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan, can be seen on your left.
Walking along Nevsky avenue you will come across the retail complex Elisseeff Emporium and the large department store Great Gostiny Dvor, as well as several of the city’s most important monuments, such as Stroganov Palace, Moscow Railway Station, the National Library of Russia and Singer House (Дoм компании «Зингер»), House of Books (Дом книги) or Bookhouse, which was built for the Singer Sewing Machine Company and converted into one of the city's largest bookstores (Dom Knigi), with Café Singer on the 2nd floor.
