Live view of Vasilyevsky Island (Васи́льевский о́стров) streaming from Peter and Paul Fortress, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. This island, bathed by the Gulf of Finland (west) and by the Malaya Neva and Bolshaya Neva Rivers (northeast and south), comprises a large portion of St. Petersburg's historic centre. On the right-hand side of the image is Birzhevoy Bridge, also known as Exchange Bridge due to the Old Saint Petersburg Stock Exchange (on the left, between the two Rostral Columns). Built from 1957 to 1960, this bridge connects Vasilyevsky and Petrogradsky islands, while two other popular bridges, Blagoveshchensky Bridge and Palace Bridge (Dvortsoviy Most), connect the south part to the mainland.
