Located in the northwestern area of Saint Barthélemy, just 5 km north of the capital Gustavia, Flamands is a quartier that possesses the island's widest beach, where people love to swim, surf and fish. Flamands Beach is also one of the few in St Barts with some palm-tree shade.

The island’s tropical climate is mainly divided into two seasons: summer, from May to November, is humid, while winter, from December to April, is dry. There are no significant temperature variations, with an average of about 28°C that can reach 31°C in the hottest days. The waters of the Caribbean Sea are usually around 27°C.
