Serbia is a country in the Balkan Peninsula, southeastern Europe, with fertile plateaus, mountains and ski resorts. While in the northern part of the country summers are hot and humid, and winters are cold (continental climate), in the south, winters are relatively cold, with snow inland, and summers are hot and drier (continental and Mediterranean climate). From a total of over 7 million inhabitants, more than 80% are Orthodox Christians.

Besides the capital, Belgrade, which is the largest city in Serbia, Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac and Subotica are other major cities in terms of population. A few must-see attractions in the country are the Belgrade Fortress, the Kalemegdan Park, the Church of Saint Sava, Fruška Gora, Nikola Tesla Museum and Ružica Church. For people who love to see other people, online city webcams are a must. Should you choose to rent a car, there are several vehicle options at your disposal.
