Eastern Cape is the second largest province of South Africa situated in the southern part of the country. It has 800 kilometres (500 mi) of beautiful Indian Ocean coast along with some splendid beaches, as well as attractive natural areas and abundant wildlife.
One of the most famous stretches on the seaside is the Wild Coast with well-known towns such as Coffee Bay and Kei Mouth. There are resorts along stunning beaches and scenic spots such as Nahoon Beach and Morgan Bay. In Eastern Cape you will find the opportunity to see the “Big Five” on a safari such as in the Shamwari Game Reserve.
The largest city is Port Elizabeth, the seat of Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, a favoured holiday destination in Eastern Cape.
