The sand beach shown is Platja Gran, one of Tossa de Mar's main beaches, located along the bay and in sight of the charming waterfront area.
On the south-east side of the bay, you may see the historic Muralles de Tossa de Mar, medieval fortification walls that enclose the old town (Vila Vella). It is an excellent example of a fortified medieval town, with a vast city wall built in the 12th century with numerous high towers.
Off the shore appears the islet L'illa de Tossa de Mar, and to the north of the bay is the beach Platja Mar Menuda by a rocky headland.
Among the waterfront structures is the Parish Church of San Vicente, the largest church in the municipality, which was built in the 18th century.
