Welcome to the magnificent Plaza Mayor (main square), the heart of the city of Salamanca, which is situated in western Spain.
The plaza, in the old town of Salamanca, was built in the 18th century in Baroque style architecture, including the city hall shown on the left-hand side of the live image.
The medieval feeling of the plaza is combined with a lively and modern atmosphere here, with many bars surrounding this spacious square always crowded during the day and animated at night.
