Surat Thani (สุราษฎร์ธานี) is a province in the south of Thailand, and its homonymous capital is a coastal town on the Gulf of Thailand. Surat Thani city has interesting riverfronts where the best of Thai food can be enjoyed. From this city, the islands of the province are easily reachable by ferry. These islands, especially the largest one, Ko Samui, are real tourist resorts for its beaches, for marine activities, such as snorkeling, and events, as the Full Moon Party on Ko Pha Ngan island. Surat Thani province offers great nature views and experiences. Besides the waterfronts, greenish areas, such as Khao Sok National Park, are well worth a visit.
