Umm Al Quwain is a small constituent emirate in the United Arab Emirates, situated on the Arabian Peninsula, facing the Persian Gulf. It is composed of the city of the same name, and Falaj Al Mualla - an inland oasis with plantations of date palms.
Umm Al Quwain has a beautiful coast spanning for about 17 miles (27 km), on the Persian Gulf, with sandy beaches including Umm Al Quwain Beach. To the east of the peninsula there is a huge lagoon dotted with islands, in a single shoreline with beaches and mangrove forests.
In the city you will find the Old Harbour facing the dhow building yard, and many recreation sites namely the huge Dreamland Aqua Park. In fact Umm Al Quwain offers activities for all likes such as water sports, camel racing, bird watching, falconry and skydiving at the UAQ Aero Club.
Umm Al Quwain holds the significant archaeological sites - Tell Abraq and Ed-Dur, two important Ancient Near Eastern Cities.
