This live streaming webcam shows you the grand Independence Square (Plaza Independencia) in Montevideo, the lively capital of Uruguay.
On the right-hand side of the image is the Artigas Mausoleum, composed of the magnificent equestrian statue and the underground burial chamber for José Artigas, a national hero of Uruguay.
In the background is a neoclassical building, once the seat of Uruguayan government, now housing the Museum Government House.
On the left-hand side you have a glimpse of the exquisite Salvo Palace (Palacio Salvo) in eclectic style. Salvo Palace was completed in 1928 and it was for a while the tallest building in Latin America!
