Kansas is a state situated in the Midwestern United States (refers to the north-central states of the United States of America), sharing borders with the states of Colorado on the west, Nebraska on the north, Missouri on the east and Oklahoma on the south.
Kansas’s capital is the city of Topeka, set on the Kansas River. Topeka features many significant historical and cultural sites namely Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site, which celebrates the first U.S. Supreme Court decision declaring unconstitutional the racial segregation in public schools. Also in Topeka, you may take a tour to the dome of the Kansas State Capitol, and explore excellent sites such as the famous Evel Knievel Museum, Topeka Zoo and many other attractions!
In Wichita, Kansas's largest city, there is plenty to do and see namely the entertainment area of the Old Town, and the must-see Museum of World Treasures.
The city of Wamego is home to the OZ Museum, "dedicated to all things OZ" - the book and film "Wizard of Oz". The small city of Lindsborg is known for its Swedish heritage, for its historic attractions and festivals throughout the year. To visit a "Western town", Dodge City is the place to go - starting from Boot Hill Museum with exhibits of Old West antiques.
