The railway, built by Sylvester Marsh, first opened in 1868, and the full construction to the summit was completed the next year
The adventure on this railway, the world's second steepest railway, will take you to the highest peak in the Northeastern United States, which stands at 6,288.2 feet (1,916.6 metres).
The Cog Railroad Company is located at Base Station Road, which can be found on the map further down the page.
