It is a peninsula bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and bordered by the states of Delaware (southwest), New York (north, east) and Pennsylvania (west). This highly populated state is adjacent to the metropolitan areas of New York City and of Philadelphia. New Jersey has excellent seaside resorts such as Atlantic City, and attractions including the Liberty Island, home to Statue of Liberty National Monument, shared by this state and New York.
