Da Nang is an independent municipality in Vietnam, situated in the central coast of the country. It is the third largest city in Vietnam, after Ho Chi Minh City, which is located to the south of Da Nang, and the country’s capital, Hanoi, set to the north. Da Nang is a favoured travel destination in Vietnam, featuring numerous cultural attractions, beautiful riversides and a deep bay with Son Tra peninsula on its edge. The city is especially known for having some of the most attractive beaches in the country namely My Khe Beach.
The Marble Mountains are a top tourist attraction in Da Nang. They are composed of five hills, featuring caves, tunnels, and several incredible Buddhist and Hindu grottoes.
Da Nang is vast hence it is advisable to rent a car to explore the city. Also just out of Da Nang, there is Hue, the old capital, as well as the preserved ancient town of Hội An, and My Son Sanctuary.
